There’s a mindset or call it a rut, that is easy to slip into.  It’s where you look into the future and think, “when this or that happens or I have this, or this is the situation in my life…I’ll be happy”  Whether we do it consciously or subconsciously, the idea is the same and can cause dissatisfaction to the degree of literally missing out on life.

The truth is, you can be happy right now…I don’t care what your “situation” is, you can actually be fully enjoying every moment of your life beginning this week.

There are steps you need to take in order for that to happen and it’s not always easy.  In fact it’s challenging.

Right now I’m stepping into a new path in my life.  I’m offering a life mentoring service for those serious about changing their happiness factor and waking up to life.  So many are sleep walking…you may be right now.  You may be excusing yourself from life itself.

You know, my little girl who is only 5, is really into this Hannah Montana stuff.  What little girl isn’t, right?  So this means I get to hear all her music, all the time…Miley that is.

She has a new song out that really speaks to me.  The theme of the song?  It’s not about what’s waiting on the other side (of the journey), it’s the climb.  I love that.

That is exactly what you learn as you study the powerful laws of the universe.  Experiencing joy in life, really living, is not living for something tomorrow or something in the past…it’s living in the moment.  Being present.

So many of us are not present.  Worries and day to day frustrations distract us from the reality that’s occuring right now, in this moment.  Even goals can do this when not monitored carefully.  You can be so focused on a goal that you miss the journey in the process.

My wife bought the movie “the Spiderwick Chronicles” the other night and we were watching it, close to the end when the father is speaking to his daughter who is now older than him, (you have to watch the movie to see why) he says to her, “…I was so fascinated by all the magical creatures around me that I missed the most magical creature of all, living with me…” speaking of his daughter.

How many of us are so fascinated and distracted by all the “magical creatures” around us in our lives that we are missing the most magical and miraculous of all?  If you don’t have children you might understand that most magical creature to be a close friend, parent, sibling…you fill in the blank.

The point is, are you living in the moment?  Are you living for now?  Or are you living for tomorrow.

We don’t have tomorrow you know.  We hope to have it and most of us will have it, but what we all do have, guaranteed, is RIGHT NOW.  If you are not enjoying your “right now” then you are not really living.

Experiencing the Now is easier than you think and it’s just a choice and a switch in your perspective.  Perhaps this little blog entry will help you make that shift in your thinking, perhaps it will just get you looking in the right direction.  

However you get there, don’t forget to get there…to the present reality and being “IN THE MOMENT” right now.

Yesterday I spoke about a new training program I’m starting.  This is a little different than most of the “stuff” out there in a couple ways. I want to point out as much info as I can without turning this into a sales pitch! So I’ll do my best…

The first day I started playing with CPA affiliate marketing I incured about $16 ($15.82 to be exact) in expense for Google Adwords.  I made $48.75.  That was THE FIRST DAY, WITH NO TRAINING, NO CPA SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCES, AND NO “ARBITRAGE CONSPIRACY” $2000 PRODUCT.

If I can do that, SO CAN YOU!

Why?

Because I’m going to show you the steps to get there.  I can’t show you the exact offer I promoted or the exact keywords I used (because that would reveal the product)…but I will show you everything else.

Now that was day one.

Since that day, in the following 10 days I made about $545 and spent about $242.  So profit was about $303.  That’s over 125% ROI (Return on Investment).

And that’s a SINGLE PROMOTION.

Ok, so you see some of the numbers and the potential.  Now I truly hope I’ve priced this program at a level that is easy enough for you to get in and get rolling so you can start experiencing the same results…or better!

Ok, I know I know, that’s a cheesy line.

But the fact is I’ve changed my entire online business model this December and see a totally new approach for 2009.  I want to share this with you because I think it’s something that you can definately benefit from.

So here’s the deal, after Thanksgiving I was totally bashing a new “how to make money” launch…which was a product that promises to teach Affiliate Marketing…but focusing on promoting offers that pay per action.

Well, after reading the free report I got from the guys launching the product, I was truly intrigued by the numbers these guys were boasting for Cost Per Action online marketing results…in the 5 digits per day??? It sounded way too hyped.  But one thing I did is believe them about the numbers.

In case you weren’t aware, Cost Per Action Marketing is where you market a product or service and get paid when someone takes action…usually simple action like filling in an email submit form and you get paid for every lead you send the way of that company.

So it’s Affiliate Marketing (marketing on behalf of a company and getting paid for actions taken) but the person you sent to that company’s website doesn’t have to necessarily buy a product as is the case with most Affiliate Marketing programs such as Amazon.com’s, Walmart’s, Clickbank, and others.

With Cost Per Action (CPA) you can get paid sometimes $40 per lead generated! That means the person who filled in the lead form took no risk, it was easy for them to sign up to whatever the offer was, and you got $40 for sending them there.

Well here’s the cool link in all this.

If you could get highly targeted web visitors to go to a company like this, through your affiliate URL, a certain percentage of them would sign up right? If they are HIGHLY TARGETED. How do you get those kinds of people to go to sites that will pay you to get them leads?

Easy!

Using Google Adwords to purchase traffic by “bidding” on the search terms the person will type to get to your ad. Then when they click your ad it takes them to the affiliate link and to the company’s site you are promoting…a percentage of them signup and you get paid. If you can pay a low enough cost per click in Google Adwords you can make a substantial amount of income based on the conversion rate of that traffic.

For example.

You signup for a CPA Affiliate Network and locate an offer, let’s say on Free Credit Reports. You go to Google Adwords and setup an advertising account for $5. You bid on search terms that you think someone who is looking for Free Credit Reports would type in Google. You bid like 15 cents per click…this means you would pay 15 cents for every click on a particular term. Ok, so now you take copy the Affiliate Tracking URL in the Affiliate Network for that Free Credit Reports offer to your Google Adwords ad, set your daily budget in Adwords to say $15 and turn on the campaign.

Now if all goes perfectly, we’ll say 100 people click your ad at $0.15 per click. 10% of them “convert” to leads, meaning they fill out the form on the Free Credit Report site you are promoting. Let’s say that offer pays you $26 per lead. You just made $260 for a cost of $15!

Ok, moving on.

So I thought I’d try this stuff out just based on the free report this Arbitrage Conspiracy launch gave out and my own experience with Affiliate Marketing…

You see, I’ve done Affiliate Marketing since about 2005 and have done well at it.  But all my focus has always been on actual product purchases…companies that pay me when someone pays them through my link.  I  hadn’t gotten into the Pay Per Lead/Action arena.

Maybe I never really believed in it?  I don’t know, but the point is I never gave it attention.

What I have found since December 10 till today is phenominal and I have to share with you.

I started a campaign, based almost entirely on inspiration and I believe strongly in inspired marketing by the way.  So I started this campaign and immediately began making money.  And not just a few bucks.  I started making like $20 to $30 a day for spending only $15 in advertising per day.  

As I tweaked the campaign (mind you this is all from a single campaign promoting a single product) based on inspired marketing again, I found the numbers dramatically increase.  My ROI went through the roof and my CPC was way down.  

By the time I put things on pause, in 10 days of starting, I brought in about $545 from just promoting ONE OFFER.

So yeah, not too bad.

As I said, I put things on pause. There are a couple reasons I did this.

1. With the holiday (Christmas) my conversions dropped suddenly. To be expected. So I paused my campaigns in Google Adwords to avoid a break even or loss.

2. I want to wait for the Affiliate Network to pay me what I’ve made so far before I spend more. This is both a precautionary move and a budgetary one. And I recommend doing it in any new business venture. You want to verify the company you are working with (especially true in Affiliate Marketing) is going to pay you!

So here at the end of 2008 I’m clear on the methods I’ll be using to make money in 2009. I’m going to do Affiliate Marketing of course, but focus heavily on CPA offers through Google Adwords.

Now I know a lot of this is just greek to many of you…so I also decided to do a really different form of training on CPA and how to make money doing it. I haven’t named this training program yet or anything, but here’s the premise of it.

Basically I’ll have a forum setup where only members can login. Once logged in you’ll have access to all the training modules for that week/month/etc. As I learn new things, have new experiences, and discover more profitable techniques I’ll post them to the appropriate forum thread…which will be called Modules.

This way not only does the program grow as I learn and experience this first hand, you can kind of “look over my shoulder” and learn with me. Not only that, you can post replies to the forum threads (Modules) to get personal support/coaching on a particular point.

Like I said, I’m not new to Affiliate Marketing or using Google Adwords, but am to CPA the specific type of Affiliate Offers I’m now doing. So what’s cool about that is I can give you totally fresh insight, advice and feedback…basically allowing you to have zero risk in your experience. That’s the idea.

Now while I’ve already setup the forum and am letting people in already, I don’t want to just let anyone/everyone in. I want to make it a tight knit team so I can help you and you can have the highest quality of training and the best experience from this.

I know I’ve talked about Gratitude in a previous post, but it deserves a revisit.

I want to talk about it in relation to your future.  Most of us look for things to be grateful for in our present or past experience.  But what about the future?

The energy we emit to the universe around us directly affects what is attracted to us.  When you are grateful and thankful for what you want you attract it to yourself.  It’s like having faith.  You ask, then thank that you have recieved it…that the process of “it” being drawn to you is in motion.

Here’s an example

“I’m so happy and grateful now that I am a Millionaire”

“I’m so happy and thankful now that I have a fulfilling and positive relationship with ____________”

You get the idea.

So this thanksgiving try it out…be thankful for what you will have.

Yesterday I said it’s “easy” to do.  

Okay, it’s easy but difficult.  Let me explain.  Most of us have been conditioned to think on and focus on negative things.  I don’t know why exactly, but these thought patterns are what keep us in our ruts.

If you want new results in life you MUST focus and train your mind to have new patterns.

So since we are discussing Poverty Consciousness versus Prosperity Consciousness, let me give a specific example.

You get to work and the person next to  your cubical, or the guy working across from you in the shop, or your supervisor who takes you to lunch…says something like, “Did you hear about Circuit City?  I guess they are declaring bankruptcy due to the economy.  And what about Starbucks?  95% down in sales?”

That kind of focus is Poverty Consciousness.

What about the gas prices dropping?  That’s GOOD!  Yet many will even turn something prosperous like this into poverty thinking with a comment like, “Yeah, it’s not going to last though.”

WHY!

Why do we tend to be negative?

Whatever the root cause is, let’s at this moment focus on the solution.

The first step in thinking prosperity is to surround yourself with likeminded individuals.  You tend to talk and focus along the lines of the company you keep.

Second, make a list of all the things you are thankful for that are directly related to prosperity in some form.  It doesn’t have to be financial prosperity, it can be relationship prosperity…maybe people find you fun to be with or don’t like going to lunch in groups when you aren’t there.

Thirdly, check yourself in the morning and at the evening, take your “Prosperity Temperature” to see where you are.  Realize you are a magnet and as you grow your prosperous thinking the things that you want are moving toward you.  Picture that.  See the new car, the home, the money, moving at a steady pace toward you, gaining momentum as you clear your mind of negativity and focus on what you do have now and how prosperous you are now.

And finally, spend at least 10 minutes a day with your eyes closed, visualizing all the prosperity in your life and then see it grow and expand out from you.  If you got some money unexpectedly, visualize it happening again only double.  

Have fun with it, don’t stress over it, and begin to think prosperous.

It’s challenging because of the preprogramming, but it’s easy to follow some simple steps to keep your mind on track.

P.S.  I’ve noticed, coming from a Christian background, that many times Christians are worried to think in prosperous terms.  They think they should be suffering.  But I remind you of the Bible text that says, and I paraphrase, “…what ever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are good and holy, think on these things…”

Even the Bible admonishes us to think positive and prosperous thoughts.

There’s a little murky pit people fall into all too easily and once there it can be very difficult to get out.

It’s the mindset that says “I’m the victim”.

The “poor me” mindset is one that focuses on powerlessness and a belief that you are at the mercy of “it”…whatever it is.

“Poor Me” only produces one thing: poor me.  In other words, poverty.  It’s being conscious of poverty.

Being grateful helps keep you clear of this mindset and it’s important to train ourselves to think in the lines of prosperity.  Afterall, I’ll say it again…you get what you focus on and spend energy on.  If you focus on “poor me”, in other words, poverty, you will only attract what?  You got it!  Poverty.

If, however, you focus on Prosperity and become actually CONSCIOUS of prosperity, in other words it’s on the front of your mind, in your sights all day, you will attract…Prosperity!

So how do you focus on Prosperity?

It’s easy!

Ok, so you are now realizing that you are 100% responsible and have the power to choose your life and the direction in which you want to go…so now what?

Now be full of gratitude.

There is incredible power in this universal law.  Gratitude is one of the many laws of attraction and by simply having gratitude for your CURRENT life, and all the good things you NOW HAVE, you will attract to yourself more of those things.

Even if you can’t think of anything good in your life right now, you are alive aren’t you? (let’s hope right otherwise we have stranger problems)  You have air to breathe, food to eat, water to drink.  These “everyday” things may seem small, but if they are the difference between life and death they really aren’t so insignificant are they?

So be thankful and grateful for them!

As you exercise gratitude you’ll invoke the laws of attraction to bring more abundance…

And that really is the keyphrase…abundance.

Be grateful for the abundance, at whatever level, that you have now.  What this will do for you is create more abundance in greater and deeper levels.

it’s easy.

Sit down and say to yourself, in your mind or outloud, “I am grateful for__________”

Another way you can do this is by saying everyday, “I am so happy and grateful for __________”

Don’t just say the words, feel the emotion attached.  As you allow your emotions of gratitude for your current abundance to manifest, they will create the energy to attract more.

Remember, you get what you focus on.  By focusing on the good things in your life you will multiply them.

So today’s “assignment” for all of us to be grateful.

It’s not always easy to take responsibility.

But I never promised and never will promise that the journey of self discovery and personal growth will be easy or painless.

But I can promise that it is extremely rewarding.  Kind of like exercise, sometimes it hurts and sometimes it’s not easy to do, but it’s always rewarding and you always feel great about yourself when you do it.

So what does it mean to take responsibility and why is it so necessary and even powerful?

To take responsibility means very simply to look at your life and say, I did this.  I’m at this juncture in my life because of me.

Don’t try to over analyze and segment out what is and isn’t your personal responsibility.  It’s YOUR life isn’t it?  So it’s all your responsibility.

Now here’s why this is so important.

By taking full responsibility for your life right now you are simultaneously empowering yourself with the truth that because you are 100% responsible for your life now, if you choose to make it different you will have 100% control over it changing.

That is powerful!

You lift your mind and thinking out of the mentality of being a victim and empower yourself with the realization that you are only the victim of your own devices.  When you choose you are no longer victim but victor.

I’m not just talking about theory or concept here.  I’m speaking from personal experience.

Back in 2005 when I was fired from my job I chose to think as a victim of the company who fired me.  But looking back I can now see that I created that reality…I am 100% responsible for losing that job!

I can now pinpoint exact moments where I could have done things differently that would have changed my path.

Now, my desire for you is to feel empowered out of this whole taking responsibility thing, not to feel regret.

See, when I look at my past I see what I did to get me here.  But I’m also grateful for the experience…because above all else it’s why I’m writing this today.  Sure I could have gotten here another way, but I love my life and the experiences that have come before now.

Don’t look at your past with regret.

But rather look back and learn.

But you MUST take responsibility.  When you realize you got yourself here, you will be empowered to get yourself ANYWHERE you want to go.  You will realize that YOU hold the key to your life!

Those who deny responsibility and want to blame others are saying essentially that their life is not in their control…they have no control…so how could they possibly ever believe that they can change?

Begin today to change your approach to responsibility by taking time to be personally 100% responsible for your life.  Believe that you hold the power to create the experiences and the life you want, as much as you have the power to create the life you don’t want.  It’s all in what you are focusing on and believing in.  But that’s for another day.

I highly recommend the book “Zero Limits” by Dr. Joe Vitale, my favorite author on the subject of the Law of Attraction and a hero of mine.  You can pick it up at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, etc.

Zero Limits deals with the power of responsibility and tells the true story of an acclaimed Doctor from Hawaii who healed an entire ward of criminally insane patients without ever sitting down and counselling with any of them…it’s an awe inspiring and incredible story.  You can also get the book from Dr. Vitale’s site at www.MrFire.com

So I want to update everyone on the new direction LifeEmpowered.com is moving in.  Beginning this November my primary focus is shifting from a “make money” site to helping others understand and discover how to implement the laws of attraction…and discovering new “laws” in our universe that directly relate to this. 

My focus and passion has always been primarily on how to live a positive and fulfilling life, and I want to bring the Life Empowered System into alignment with this. The money making training will be completely dropped.  I don’t like teaching it and I’m going to follow my passions.  If you want to learn how to do specific methods and techniques in making money online, I would recommend “Commission Blueprint”.  You can find the link to the right of this post.
